Owner-side coordination of renovation, *artisan* contracting, and furnishing — for overseas owners running works from a different time zone.
Many of the best French properties need work. A kitchen rebuild in a Provençal stone house. A new boiler and full re-insulation in an alpine chalet. Furnishing an apartment in Paris from empty to ready-to-live-in. Running that work from Sydney or San Francisco — across time zones, language, and the artisan tradition of “je passerai jeudi” — is where most overseas owners get stuck.
Works & Furnishing Coordination is the engagement where Yes House acts as your maître d’ouvrage — your owner-side coordinator, on the ground, in your interest.
What we coordinate
- Scope and budget definition — we work with you to agree what’s in scope, what’s out, what the realistic budget range is, and what the timeline tolerates. No scope creep starts well-defined.
- Maître d’œuvre / architect introduction — for permitted works or design-led renovations, we introduce vetted maîtres d’œuvre, architectes, or bureaux d’études. Engagement is between you and them; we facilitate.
- Tender and contractor selection — devis comparison across vetted artisans, terms negotiation, contracts in your name
- Permits and déclarations — permis de construire, déclaration préalable, ABF (architecte des bâtiments de France) coordination where relevant; we route applications through the right mairie and follow up
- On-site supervision — regular site visits during the works, photo-and-note progress reports, contractor accountability against milestones
- Furnishing coordination — interior designer engagement (yours or a network introduction), procurement, delivery scheduling, installation
- Snagging and handover — pre-handover walkthrough, punch-list resolution, final sign-off
What it is not
- Not architectural design (that’s the architecte’s work)
- Not structural calculation (that’s the bureau d’études’ work)
- Not legal contract drafting (that’s the avocat’s work, where complex)
- Not a construction guarantee (the garantie décennale is the artisan’s)
We coordinate. Decisions stay with you and the licensed professionals doing the regulated parts.
How it works
Works & Furnishing Coordination is scoped project-by-project. After a brief call and (where useful) a Property Checks visit, we send a fixed quote for our coordination fee — separate from, and not a margin on, the artisan costs. Artisan invoicing flows directly to you; we don’t take a margin or a kickback.
